Hi, I’m Captain Sam. Founder of Dockside Digital Solutions and Creator of TXDOCKVIBES.COM.

I started behind the bar in St. Louis — reading the room, setting the tone, making people feel like they belonged, whether they were celebrating, catching a game, or just trying to catch their breath.

Then my husband and I opened our first bar, Southtown Pub. I trained my team to serve more than drinks — to serve connection. We weren’t just slinging cocktails; we were building a community.

I hired mentors and invested in video marketing before most mom-and-pops even thought about it. I brought in a media crew (shoutout to Dan) to help tell our story in a way that made people feel something real. We were in the news, on the radio, active in our community — and our vibe was immaculate.

But then… life happened.


Weather. Recession. Social unrest. And finally, COVID.


I tried to pivot. Chased trends, burned myself out, and eventually lost the business I had built with my whole heart.

But I wasn’t done.

I started over in Texas — first on Surfside Beach, then landing on Lake Conroe. Back behind the bar, eventually renting boats and sharing the lake life vibe online.

And that’s when it clicked: the secret sauce never changed.

Whether I was behind the bar creating community connection or sharing the lake lifestyle by renting boats, the vibe was the product, the experience was the brand, and video was the key to connecting experiences to our community.
